Детские захоронения Бирского грунтового могильника: проблема идентификации и новейшие данные

Бирский грунтовый могильник – знаковый памятник Западного Приуралья (Уфимско-Бельское междуречье) сер. I тыс. н.э. В данной статье рассматриваются детские погребения. Отсутствие антропологического анализа останков приводит к тому, что мы апеллируем данными (категориями «дети», «ребенок»), указанными руководителем раскопок 1958–1991 гг. Н.А. Мажитовым в научной документации. Остеологический материал, полученный автором статьи в 2017, 2021, 2023 гг., был обработан антропологами и возрастной диапазон останков определён точнее, дополнительно был проведён секвенированный анализ детского захоронения. На основе анализа определено, что дети, выделяемые социумом в общественной деятельности, не имели особых отличительных черт в устройстве могильных ям для них и в составе погребального инвентаря. Возможно, имелось отличие в совершении погребально-поминальной обрядности.
