In December 2019, a scientific visit was organized by the "Paleoecology" laboratory of the Institute of Plant and Animal Ecology, Ural branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Yekaterinburg, Russian Federation. The main purpose of the scientific trip was to master the methodology of animal bones research, to get acquainted with the samples in the laboratory fund. The research work included a complete system of archaeozoological analysis of animal bones. The archaeozoological study considered the classification of osteological material by animal species, determining the elements of the skeleton, describing the features of storing and adding materials to the electronic database. Special attention was paid to the definition of animal bones. The ranges of changes in the diaphyses and epiphyses of sheep and goats, a number of bones of cattle and horses similar to the elements of the skeleton were determined. Individual features of methods for describing animal species were considered.
