AKYNJANOV READINGS – 2019

Abstract

On October 17, 2019 the A.Kh. Margulan Institute of Archeology hosted an international conference of young scientists dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the famous archaeologist S.M. Akynjanov. The heard reports are devoted to urgent problems of Kazakhstan in the Stone Age, the Bronze Age, the Early Iron and the Middle Ages. During the conference, the reports “A brief overview of new research in the medieval cities of the Oghuz located in the lower reaches of the Syrdarya” and “The importance of animal breeding and hunting in antiquity (based on osteological materials)” were heard.The conference was attended by students and young scientists from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Abay Kazakh National Pedagogical University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda State University, Kurgan State University (Kurgan, RF), Kemerovo State University (Kemerovo, RF), Kazakh Head Academy of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum, Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Monuments of Ancient Taraz", State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Issyk", LLP "Archaeological Expertise" and the A.Kh. Margulan Institute of Archeology.
